Flash X tests

Flash X

The flash X tests are performed to study the effects of high dose rate X-Rays pulses in electronic systems.

Tests are conducted according to MIL-STD-883 Test methods 1021 and 1023:

  • Photon pulse characteristics
    • Dose rates : 105 to 1012rad(Si)/s.
    • Pulse width : 30ns or 80ns.
    • Blackbody or higher energy spectra.
  • Observed phenomena
    • Photo-current spikes.
    • Signal perturbation.
    • Digital lock states.
  • Data analysis
    • Dose rate level of perturbation.
    • Dose rate level of permanent failure.

Thanks to our long experience in X-ray testing, military experts trust us in performing Flash X test using their facilities.
