Displacement damage

Proton Displacement damage.

Exemple of parametric degradation curve UROPE measurements and OBIT data processing

Displacement damage is esssentially induced by protons. An incident proton will create defects by colliding an atom of the crystal (recoil atom) what provokes damages of the electric characteristics of certain components and particularly of opto-electronic components and CCD. This test consistsin measuring parameters drifts for different proton fluences.
